As a Young Regional Ambassador, Tiago is passionate about his region and is working actively to promote it: "The Azores archipelago, an autonomous region of Portugal, is a natural wonder laying in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. It is composed by nine islands, each one with singular characteristics capable of making anyone fall in love with them.
One of the things that I am most proud in life, is to have been born in such an amazing place. Here you can find great things such as magical nature, quality of life, outstanding regional food and one of the freshest and cleanest air I have ever breathed!
As I have experienced several realities, I am in a good position to say that the Azores settings are unique. We have such great potential as an economic actor, yet we are too small and isolated to explore such potential. That is why we need more regional empowerment which could lead to prosperity. As FEDRA’s Young Regional Ambassador, I try to put my region in the European map. With it, Azorean regional actors can access other European regional players who meet their specific needs. Therefore, they can find opportunities which can make a positive difference in their activities.
All of these efforts towards my region are done with full passion. I truly believe that with it, my region will have a strong voice in Europe, which will be translated in positive outcomes.
Finally, I would like invite all of you reading this writing to visit or to know better the wonderful region that is the Azores archipelago! I am sure you will be delighted with what you will find!"
